Sylvie Eyraud, founded the original Color-Rare store in Bordeaux, France in 1997. Particularly sensitive to products containing hydrocarbons, she quickly turned to using and selling natural products that were hardly available at the time.

Today, Color-Rare is a network of over 30 franchises and stores located throughout France and Europe, with offices established in Canada and the United States.

We are proud to bring this unique decorative concept across the Atlantic to North America. Color Rare paints and pigments are made up of natural ingredients. We use plant/vegetal, lime and milk in our paints and offer natural colored pigments derived from all over the world...  taking advantage of what nature has to offer.
